Willie Mullan the name must rank among one of the best known bible teachers that has came out of Northern Ireland in the last century
Born into a large family in Newtownards in 1911. For many years he lived the life of a social outcast ravished by alcohol abuse and other vices which go with such a life style. Then one day the Lord gloriously saved him while standing in a field and a new life for Willie Mullan had begun.
In 1953 Willie Mullan was called to Lurgan Baptist church, and in August of that year he commenced the work in Lurgan. One of his great accomplishments during this time was the Tuesday night Bible class. Every Tuesday night hundreds attended to hear the exposition of the Word. In 1957 Mr. William Hewitt and a team of helpers commenced the tape recordings of the Bible class. At least 1500 of these recordings remain until this day. However due to their age many of these tapes are becoming brittle. A good number of the recordings are available for download on the download page all are in mp3 format ( if you don’t know what mp3 is click here for an explanation ) for faster download time. More will be added as soon as they can be digitized. Please remember that some of these recordings are over 45 years old and even though the quality is acceptable they are not the high quality recordings made on modern equipment.
Willie Mullan not only preached in Northern Ireland but in many countries across the world. His ministry has also spread world wide through the use of the audio tapes. Many at that last day will testify that it was through the preaching of Willie Mullan that they found the Saviour.
In December 1980 Willie Mullan went home to be with the Lord whom he had loved and served. On Boxing day his bodily remains were laid to rest in his home town of Newtownards, where he waits for the shout of that resurrection morning.

This is a poem written by Willie which is often asked for
God manifest in flesh, oh wonder to behold
Creative power within the breast that felt the blast of cold.
God in our likeness made, oh may we understand
The One who made the wondering worlds appears as lowly man
He stood within the realm He fashioned with a thought,'
His creatures gazed upon Him; alas they knew Him not,
They cried out for His blood, His claims cast down as dross,
They spat upon His princely face, then nailed Him to a cross.
But He made the tree for that cross of wood.
He made the hill on which it stood,
And in some hidden vein of land
He made the steel that pierced each hand;
He made the sun which hid its face;
He made the fathers of that race
Who, in their hatred knew Him not.
He made the fiends with which He fought
And there, in death, He made a way Back to Himself
Eternally.
